I Didn’t Vote for Obama…..I Voted for Rey

Christia Rey that is. Chris is a member of the Electoral College, representing Virginia’s 1st Congessional District. If you’ve never heard of Christia Rey, then remember where you heard it first. Here’s his bio from William & Mary’s website, where he’s currently studying law:

Chris graduated cum laude from Walden University with a B.S. in business administration and a concentration in information systems. He served seven years in the Army as a Captain stationed at Fort Bragg, NC, and was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Prior to enrolling at William & Mary, Chris interned at a radio station where he hosted a daily talk show and interned with Congressman John Lewis of Georgia in Washington, DC. As a 1L student at William & Mary he was an elected class representative to the Student Bar Association. He is vice president of the Black Law Students Association and a member of Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity, the American Bar Association, the Election Law Society, and is a student admission ambassador. Chris is the president and CEO of L.E.A.D. Group, which develops leadership skills workshops for college student organizations. He spent summer 2008 interning with the James City County (VA) Attorney’s Office and the Office of the Virginia Attorney General in their division of child support enforcement.

  1. I know him. Will certainly be an influential person in the future. He is certainly building the resume. One might ask about the degree of genuineness however.

  2. Why would you say that (genuineness)?

  3. I also know Chris and have known him much longer than probably anyone blogging here. To question a person’s GENUITY without the slightest bit of cause is highly irresponsible. Please do look for him in the future and look for him to be a highly respected and utterly committed individual to meaningful causes.

  4. I have heard great things about this guy. He is definitely one to watch for in the future. He does a lot of things in the community. Maybe we will see him on the political trail one day… that is if the right does not tear him down… I Didn’t Vote for Obama…. I Voted for Rey!!!!

  5. OMG, I cannot believe that he is an elector!!! He is an unbelievable speaker. I heard him talk at a high school one day to some kids and I was blown away. He’s truly got what it takes, and not bad looking either.

  6. He is one to watch…

I have been reading about him all day, and so far he has all the right credentials, but then again is that not how they all start off.

  7. I just heard through the grape vine that he is running for House of Delegates District Seat 93 against Phil Hamilton… Thank God
