Jenkins Looks to Replace Sharp as Commonwealth’s Attorney

la-brivia-jenkinsOn December 16 in Fredericksburg, there will be a special election to fill the office vacated by the retirement of Fredericksburg Commonwealth’s Attorney Charles Sharp. Mr. Sharp recently was appointed judge for the 15th district. La Bravia Jenkins is officially kicking off her campaign this Thursday Nov. 13 at the Caroline Street Cafe.

Michael Barret makes the case for Jenkins here.

UPDATE: “Jeh” Hicks and Eric Olsen are the other candidates running for CA. While Jenkins has served as assistant Fredericksburg CA under Sharp, Olsen served as Dan Chichester’s deputy in Stafford for several years. Good field.

  3. It will be imperative that the voters of Fredericksburg elect someone who has actually worked here, not just someone who collects mail here. Protecting Stafford is all well and good, and does Mr. Hicks even have any real time trial experience? Jenkins has been working in the Commonwealth Attorney’s office for over 8 years, that’s what I want when I vote for someone who is going to protect my wife and children.

  4. It’s nice to see this race get attention on Fred2Blue. A great forum!
